Painter Assistant, $16 / hr - Savannah GA
Our client is looking to build a strong team and hire in Full-Time!
Workbox Staffing is hiring a Paint Assistant in Savannah .
Responsibilities :
- Preparing surfaces for coatings which may include pressure washing, washing with various cleaners, sanding, wire brushing or other methods.
- Assist with gathering equipment, tools, materials, and consumable items to complete the assigned job.
- Clean up work areas, equipment, supplies and materials.
- Maintain safety standards in the performance of duties.
Qualifications :
- Must wear steel toe boots and safety glasses
- Hands on and willing to learn
- OSHA training and OSHA card a plus
- TWIC card a plus
- High school diploma / GED preferred.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass an observed drug screen.
- Must be physically capable of performing the job.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with fellow staff.
- Ability to work independently.
This position will be for a reputable metal fabricator in Savannah. This person will be solely responsible for assisting painters and powder coaters in the shop.
